Absolutely wild piece — brilliantly written, sharp (as usual), and cuts through the fog with wit.

My 2c take:

Big Pharma and the healthcare system aren’t failing us — they’re succeeding at what they were designed to do: profit off illness, not cure it. Its fragmentary specializations fail to address the root causes of chronic disease, from which it also profits and has no genuine interest in addressing. These individuals are simply doing their jobs and not taking it upon themselves to address systemic problems within their industry. It appears to be a common theme across various sectors (military/govt included).

RFK Jr. is a chaotic presence and a symptom of that broken trust; not by any means a solution, but his grumbling resonates with some folks (and, to be honest, with a lot more independents before he went utterly MAGA) because it's an attempt to expose just how rigged the whole game is. For all his faults and failings prior, as well as all his good intentions with attacking big food and big pharma, he's been coopted and compromised by what's essentially an industrialist-white nationalist movement, so forget about it.

Yet, in a world where institutions lie and street dealers tell the truth, people start listening to street wisdom (or lack thereof). Perhaps that, in part, explains populist movements, but trusting the establishment is not a viable alternative, so we could really use a secret third thing about now.
