Somehow I just saw your response. Another time, because as it does, your writing made me feel things. This time, it churned up some memories of one of the scarier moments from the wayward adventure that is my life. I know you’re aware of the fact that I was shot in the leg in 2018. It was a complete fluke, thanks entirely to one person’s complete lack of gun safety. I lived in Georgia at the time. The person responsible immediately took responsibility and accountability, at least for the moment. Once his “proud southern” brother found out, he looked me dead in my eyes and said “I’m going to have the gun engraved. Her new name is Yankee Hunter.” There is more- but that’s a conversation for somewhere other than a comment section.

I have so much to say in relation to this. Perhaps another time. Beautiful writing, as always.
Why another time?

Just some good old boys.
