Bonus points for picking this song to address this topic. For the record, some of us aliens from the other side of the aisle struggle with this problem as well. To that end, I found this extremely helpful. So thanks for that. I am not sure what to call the female version of this, but it definitely exists. Heavy sigh.
Another excellent piece, as usual, although nowadays, I can't help but consider this the sister (or mother song, more appropriately) to Lady Gaga's "Born this way." Hell, it's almost the same song, melodically, and yet, thematically, picks up where this leaves off. Not sure if this is genius on Gaga's part, or clever plagiarism, or both.
This is a very thoughtful and human dissection of masculinity. I have to commend the way you bring nuance to a topic that is CONSTANTLY flattened with clichés. I really appreciate the distinction between stoicism and silence here too. Brilliant as always.

Well said, Sir. And as Bobby Womack once sang, just a little communication can help the situation.

Insightful--also, Madonna's duet, "Love Song," with Prince from the same album, seems to address this topic as well.
