For Mr. Uecker

Back in April of last year, just about the same time the baseball season was getting warmed up, my friend Dennis had me on his podcast, Back By Popular Demand, to discuss the 1989 comedy gem Major League.

Major League introduced millions of young folks to Milwaukee Brewers broadcasting legend Bob Uecker as Harry Doyle. Bob essentially distilled his broadcast essence into comedy gold for the film, turning “Juuuuust a bit outside” into a catchphrase that serves as a clarion call for baseball fans the world over. Whenever you hear it, you know immediately you’ve met someone worth talking to.

I thought it would be worth putting up here (I know Dennis wouldn’t mind).
